In addition to successfully growing their firm, Pete and Steve are strong believers in community service.
Steve is a member of the Kennebunk Chamber of Commerce and the York County Bar Association. He has been a member of the Kennebunk Rotary Club, and a Corporator of the Kennebunk Savings Bank, a local non-profit lending institution.
Pete is involved in pro bono activity, as a member of a volunteer group known as “MASH” Maine Attorneys Saving Homes. He has served as a Volunteer Mediator for Youth Alternatives, and chairs the Legislative Committee of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA) since 2001. He will begin service as President-Elect of MTLA in 2009. He has served as a member of the Portland Zoning Board of Appeals and the Kennebunk Rotary Club, and served on the boards of directors of KIDS, Inc., the Kennebunk Chamber of Commerce, and Williston-West Church in Portland. He has been active in the Wayside Soup Kitchen. Since 2000, Pete has chaired the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association. The MTLA seeks to promote the jury system, improve the legal system, and promote consumer protection.
